The majority of the people we gave the questionnaire to chose answers in which we based our magazine off.

What original images did you take for your magazine?I took a few images for the front cover to see which one would mostly suit my magazine cover and so the one on the front was the image I found most suitable.

Which real media magazine did you base your magazine on? Company

Why did you do this? Because my partner and I agreed that it was a magazine similar to the one we wanted to create and it was the most appropriate for the target audience we were going for.

Who was your target audience? Teens aged 14-19

Looking at your flat plan and ‘creating your own magazine’ document state briefly why you made these decisions when creating your own magazine. The decisions made for the creation of mine and my partner’s magazine was made because we wanted it to as similar to a real magazine as possible and so we had to think realistically in the production of our magazine and so we did a lot of research in order to produce a magazine suitable for the genre and target audience we were going for.

What did you change in these early stages of planning? When we did the draft of our magazine, we changed the idea of what was going to be on the front cover and we changed the contents page layout. We also changed the name of our magazine from ‘Fierce’ to ‘Attitude’ before we made our drawn first draft.

Looking at your contents page, say why you chose this particular information to include rather than any other. This doesn’t apply to me because my partner did the contents page.

Why did you choose these images and not others? I felt these were the images that were more like be considered as icon for the target audience I was going for.

Looking at your front page, say why you chose this particular information to include rather than any other. The information I chose are what will more likely to grab the attention of my target audience. It is the gossip of what interests my target audience about the celebrities that are the most know and admired or gossiped about at the moment, and I put some information about the person on the front all in capital letters so that they know that she is the person on the front.

Why did you choose these images and not others? The images were chosen because the model that is on the front cover is attractive and it enforces the idea of the name of our magazine.

Looking at your article page, say why you chose this particular information to include rather than any other. The information used for my magazine is what will interest the readers for my magazine because it is a topic of an actress to who is idolised by many teens and so I thought it would be interesting for my readers.

Why did you choose these images and not others? I chose the images of the actress in my article because they are the ones that are most appealing to the eye and so the young girls will read it because they will see her as an iconographic person, which encourage them to buy it.

List below any decisions that you made that were important to the overall effect of your magazine in terms of your target audience. The image in the front of the magazine was important because I had to decide on which one would be suitable for the target audience. The information used was important because we had to use language suitable for the audience we were targeting. The font of the title of the magazine was important because it has to grab the buyer’s attention and make them want to look at it. The colours were important because it had to make the different font of writings stand out so that it would look more interesting.

List below any decisions that you made that were important to the overall representation of the people and groups that were in your magazine and how this would appeal to or effect your target audience. The celebrities used were to attract the attention of the readers for my magazine because they are seen as an icon for young people. The images of the people from different ethnic minorities were used because in most magazines they don’t usually have people of any different ethnic background. The picture of the girl was used on the front cover because a lot of girls will like it and read it because it is pleasing to the eye. The image of the boy that is used in the contents page was used because a lot of girls will like it because they will think he is good-looking.

If you had more time what would you have done differently? I would have done another front cover so that I could compare the one I have with that one to see what would be the best one for my magazine. I would have tried to visit a magazine company to see how they create their articles and front cover step by step. I would have done more research on the genre I was going for and made my magazine look more professional.

Is Megan Fox Too Skinny For T.V? Actress Megan Fox has recently announced that she will not be appearing in the upcoming Transformers film. Award-winning actress and iconographic fashionista Megan Fox has recently confirmed that she will not be re-appearing in the upcoming Transformers film due to rumours of her being to thin for the role. From the first film, Fox signed on to do to others and now she’s being replaced..? Megan Fox has recently been rumoured to be accused of being too skinny to play the role of ‘Mikaela Banes’ in the new Transformers movie and will not reprise her role in Transformers 3 due to this issue. Although she will not be appearing in the new Transformers film, she will have a role in the new comic phenomenon film, ‘Jonah Hex’, where she will be playing ‘Lilah’. Megan fox has recently married her on and off fiancé Brian Austin Green after 6 years of being together. Their wedding was spontaneous and not many of their relatives were able to make an appearance at their wedding ceremony, the majority of their guests were their bodyguards. Their ceremony was on the beach in Hawaii. The 24-year-old wore a strapless white Armani Privé gown complete with a flowing 16-feet-long train and carrying a bouquet of gardenias and white roses. Brian Austin Green and his 8-year-old son (from his previous marriage) Kassius wore matching Armani outfits and looked more low-key then the bride. “It was a dream come true, I felt like a princess”. Megan Fox has a number of tattoos. She has one on her back that says ‘We will all laugh at gilded butterflies’, which means that she laughs at things that are built up to be something they’re not. This one is about her not being shallow. She also has a tattoo of a symbol on her neck which symbolises strength. Fox has a poem extract on the side of her body as showed in the photo which denotes that she has once had her heart broken before. Another one is a picture of Marilyn Monroe’s head on her arm. That’s just some of them, there are many more. Fox is very independent, and when asked about her opinion on the media portraying her as being really skinny, she always replies by saying, “the world is full of all shapes and sizes”. She is very inspiring and is seen as a role model to many young teenage girls in the public eye. The real reason for Fox not being featured in the new Transformers film is due to her and the director Michael Bay not getting along and so she was dropped from the job.. Uh oh. So for all of those rumours about Fox being too thin to play the role of ‘Mikaela Banes’ in Transformers 3, is not true. The real reason for Megan Fox not playing this role for the new film is as a result of her falling out with the producer, Michael Bay. Rumours have it that the confirmation of Megan Fox not returning in the new ‘Transformers: Dar of the Moon’ film is due to her negative attitude towards the producer ‘Michael Bay’. Although Fox denied such accusations, the strain in the relationship between the two are very transparent. Fox has revealed to us that her plans for the future are to take it slow and take a break from the fame and constant paparazzi, she’s going to enjoy a nice long honeymoon with her new family. Final Front cover and article pages

For my article, I researched into a few different magazines similar to mine to find out what the interests were of my target audience, I also researched the type of language that would be more suitable for my magazine. Previously on my first draft I believe there were some room for improvement and so I have made some changes to my article and front cover. I have changed the text for my front cover and expanded the outline for my article.

Now I have a finished article and contents page for my magazine and my partner has made a few adjustments to the contents page also:

The aim of this unit was to create a magazine double-page article, contents page and front cover, we could either work alone or in pairs. I decided to work with my a partner. We were both required to create a double-page article of our own, however, one person was supposed to create the front cover and one was supposed to create the contents page. I did the front cover and an article of my own and my partner created the contents page and an article of her own.

After completing my draft for my front cover and contents page I then went on to do the real thing. By taking many photos for the front cover I have finally made a decision on what my front cover will look like. My partner has also finished creating the final contents page for our magazine.

Draft

My partner and I both created the idea of our magazine together. The first thing we came up with was the front cover and the contents page for our magazine. As we worked on it together, we decided to do one each. My partner did the contents page and I did the front cover.

This is the basis of what our magazine cover and front page will look like. However, we will make some changes for what our real magazine front cover and contents will look like.

After this I went on to create a first draft of the real thing:

This is the rough idea of what my front cover and article pages will look like, I might change the title font for my magazine for the final one and the article will have the same contents but for the real one I have adjusted the outline of it and added some more images.

Considered Pictures

These are all of the different images I could have used for my magazine front cover. Some of the shots that I took had too much going on in the background and so I decided to take the picture closer as I went along. The long shot photos that took were too long for my magazine, I decided I wanted more of a close up or medium shot photo. I decided to use the picture with mainly her head in focus, a medium shot. It was a team effort, my partner and I both did the important decision making, and we both helped each other with taking the photos. The setting for the magazine was chosen to make it look more realistic and like the 'celebrity' that has been spotted by the paparazzi and then the photo has been taken. The outfit chosen for this photo for the magazine is very feminine as the colour pink usually gives off the connotation of girly and as the magazine if teen girls, my partner and I thought it was the most appropiate for the genre of magazine we are going to create. I chose to take the photo in a light background so that her picture wouldn't be too dark in and inside place because I don't have the right equiptment to take the photo inside to adust the lighting.




































I did work on it on Photoshop to make it have good effects and to airbrush it a bit so it could look more professional. I did this with all of the photos so that I could see if it was good enough to be my front cover for my magazine. This is the photo I decided to do because It had the perfect lighting, the make up is good and she is centred in the middle of the picture so your main focus is her and there isn't too much going on in the background of the photo.
















My partner and I both took photos for our magazine, she was doing the contents and so she needed more of a variety of photos and so she took more and different ones.
